From day one, I always felt like a valued part of the team, and my contributions and efforts were genuinely appreciated. The volunteer induction and training sessions were very convenient, and it was incredibly easy to get along and communicate with everyone.
Even though my role in creating blog posts felt like a small part of a larger project, I quickly learned how impactful these can be, repurposed in many different ways. My most valuable takeaway was learning how to work more effectively and communicate as part of a large team in a corporate environment.

My volunteer experience at Won Connect CIC was largely satisfying, and I learned a great deal. The induction and training sessions were pretty convenient, and I picked up a lot about how startups operate, website setup, and teamwork. It was also easy to get along with all the other volunteers, as everyone was friendly and helpful.
Serge was a good supervisor – very helpful and he took great care of the team. He taught me a lot about website setup, SEO, and marketing, which was incredibly valuable.
While I felt I learned more than I directly impacted Won Connect, and there was sometimes a lack of a clear plan or structure to my work, I believe with more focused planning and improved teamwork, the impact could be even greater. More communication and discussion about how our individual work contributes to the overall team goals would also be beneficial.
I would recommend Won Connect CIC especially for students or graduates in marketing or IT fields. It's a fantastic place to get your feet in the digital marketing business and gain significant practical experience.

My volunteer experience at Won Connect CIC was very satisfying, and I can confidently say it was one of the best teams I've had the chance to work with. From day one, I felt incredibly welcome and listened to.
My work was always appreciated, and my inputs were consistently taken into consideration, with feedback that was always constructive. Even though my time was brief, I felt my proactive engagement was recognized, and it's clear that volunteers here are a vital asset who truly have the chance to make a real impact.
The volunteer induction and training sessions were tailored to individual needs and always carried out in a relaxed, supportive environment, which I found very helpful. Communicating with the team was easy; everyone was friendly and open to ideas, and the 'round table' meeting structure really encouraged communication and brainstorming.
The most valuable practical things I learned, and am now using in my current job, were organising tasks like marketing and social media calendars, plus some basic WordPress skills that I'm expanding on.
Serge, my supervisor, is an experienced, highly qualified tutor and a true people's person. He created a relaxed, collaborative environment that encouraged everyone to open up and share ideas. He kept us in the loop, supervised our tasks, and actively sought input, which made me feel included and validated.
I would definitely recommend Won Connect CIC to a friend or relative, both for their IT courses and as a place to volunteer and learn new skills. The only minor point was the location being a bit tricky to reach as I don't drive, but I genuinely looked forward to getting there every Thursday morning.

My volunteer experience at Won Connect CIC was quite satisfying, it was a truly positive journey that significantly improved my mental health and self-esteem.
I always felt my work and ideas were appreciated, receiving positive feedback that genuinely helped me build confidence. Everyone on the team was incredibly friendly and positive, making it very easy to work and communicate with them, even while working remotely. My initial meeting with my team leader was particularly helpful in understanding the projects and using Google Drive.
Joining Won Connect at a time when my confidence in my own ideas was low, this experience gave me the chance to work with people who truly valued my input. It taught me to have confidence in my own thinking, which has made a huge difference in my life. My supervisor was excellent; she understood my interests, checked in regularly, and always provided quick, thorough answers to my questions. Her knowledge and willingness to learn more made working with her a great experience.
While the pandemic meant some of my research couldn't be used immediately, and I think more frequent, fixed team-specific meetings could enhance collaboration, these are minor points in an otherwise fulfilling experience.
I would definitely recommend Won Connect CIC to a friend or relative, both for their services and for volunteering. The organisation is warm and friendly, which is so important when working with people new to digital services. Seeing everyone's positive attitude during such a challenging time made volunteering a happy and rewarding experience.

Overall, I am satisfied with my volunteer experience at Won Connect CIC. The work here truly has a positive impact on society, bringing people together through its valuable services.
During my initial induction, I received a substantial amount of information needed for the business operations, which was very helpful. I found the other volunteers I met to be very friendly. While there were some challenges with communication due to limited office space and my personal circumstances at the time, I believe this was largely situational.
I was particularly lucky to meet Serge. Even though my time at Won Connect wasn't very long, I learned a lot from him – especially about maintaining good relationships and how an entrepreneur promotes their business. I would highly recommend Won Connect to anyone and truly wish I can return in the future to contribute more. I always felt my inputs were valued, even if to a certain extent I sometimes felt my work went unappreciated.
My overall experience was positive, and I'm grateful for the learning opportunities.
